RIM SIZE AND TYRE PRESSURE
The "Tyre Placard" on the drivers door tells you what pressure to put in the tyres.
I wrote this page when I found that on my particular car I also needed to know the rim size.

To look up what pressure to use you
need to know what size tyres you have and that is not a problem as
tyres have the
size clearly shown in huge text.
However as my car came fitted with P205/65 R15 95H tyres you can see from the label that I also need the RIM CODE

The
correct pressure is 29 PSI if I have 7J rims or 32 PSI if I
have 6J rims.

What
do you think these rims are---well I had no idea----the hand book did
not say--
Looking hard at the wheels on the car did not help.
To find the rim size I had to look at the inside of the spare ( it is the same as what is on the car) or take a wheel off.

Tyre
pressure is a safety concern and if for instance you borrow
a car you should be able to easily find the correct pressure
for the tyres. A remedy would be a "FITTED WITH 6J RIMS"
sticker or the rim size stamped on the outside of the wheels.
This is the sticker I made to sit just above the tyre placard.

Note the wheels were original equipment and I reported my concerns to the manufacturer.
